Episode Overview
Douglas Hibbard, a businessman suffering from a severe flu, is on a work trip and dreads missing his tenth wedding anniversary the following day. Concerned he won't be able to drive home, he and his wife decide he should stay at a nearby hotel. That night, Douglas struggles to sleep due to his illness. He eventually heads downstairs to ask the hotel manager for directions to a drugstore. After receiving the directions, he returns with a wet and muddy raincoat and a gift bag, which he asks the manager to store in the hotel safe. When Douglas becomes unreachable, the manager checks his room, only to find it empty, with no sign of Douglas or the mud he brought in. Returning to the lobby, the manager is approached by a police officer who reveals that Douglas is missing.
