Carl and Mary Ann come to realize their meddling in their children's wedding was misguided, but their newfound romance causes tension between them. Mary debates ending things with Tom, who struggles to express his commitment due to deep-seated fears about marriage. Emily confronts Marv over his loyalty after her fiancé unexpectedly shows up in Curacao, denying any intention of leaving her.
