Episode Overview
When Mal abruptly departs from town, he assigns Jake to be observed by an arrogant crime writer seeking fresh material. Jake finds his life, complete with ongoing romantic struggles, scrutinized by the author. What begins as a straightforward case of infidelity soon unravels into something much more sinister. Meanwhile, Jake is anticipating his father's return, but instead of Mal in the kitchen, he is taken aback to find his estranged older brother, Christian, waiting for him.
