The second pair of semi-finalists face off in a service challenge at Midsummer House, overseen by the esteemed Daniel Clifford, who has been at the helm of this double Michelin-starred restaurant for 15 years. The contestants are tasked with crafting a complex dish that adheres to the high standards of two Michelin-star cuisine, requiring precision and finesse, all while ensuring timely delivery. The challenge intensifies as they must replicate one of Clifford's signature creations: rosemary smoked rump of lamb served with courgette and basil puree, piquillo pepper puree, and a courgette and yogurt dressing. The chefs then return to the studio to present a main course and dessert inspired by their Michelin experience, aiming to impress the judges.
