Waiting for God (1990)

Episode Overview

Betty, a resident, reports that her sewing basket has disappeared, prompting Tom and Diana to look into the situation. Skeptical of Betty's claims, they decide to follow her and soon intervene when they suspect her of shoplifting. This leads to Tom's arrest, and he ends up representing himself in court, where he is acquitted of theft but found guilty of contempt of court. In a twist, Diana later remembers that she had borrowed the sewing basket from Betty and simply forgot to return it.
