Meanwhile, Jack faces a financial crisis after a hotel deal for TVs falls through, prompting him to reassess his family's economic situation and his business values. Sam, still adjusting to East Catholic High School, grapples with the fallout of a football prank that goes too far, while JJ watches without stepping in. Roxanne launches her own venture selling autographed 45s, starting with Marvin Gaye, but when she discovers Luke swapped her record for a Bob Dylan one, she rushes back to confront him. The prank leads to Tommy's suspension and a confrontation with Sam, which JJ tries to defuse, resulting in a hostile reaction from Sam. Michael shuts down Roxanne's business endeavor, and Jack's attempts to salvage the hotel sale ultimately fail as Mr. Healey declines. The night is bitterly cold as tensions rise
