As JJ (Will Estes) prepares for the city championships, he uncovers a troubling scheme where some Philadelphia police officers are bribing his teammates to lose the game, prompting him to reevaluate their integrity and that of his uncle Pete, a police officer who drops by for a strategy meeting. On another front, Meg (Brittany Snow) struggles with her feelings for Luke, a record store clerk and Patty's new piano teacher, especially as Roxanne feigns interest in him to spark jealousy. Meanwhile, Helen enjoys a rare girls' night out with her classmate Rebecca, while Jack navigates challenges with the TVs from a failed hotel deal by broadening his customer base, and Sam faces backlash from his former friends regarding the game.
