Caroline in the City (1995)

Episode Overview

In a bizarre twist reminiscent of The Outer Limits and The Twilight Zone, Caroline is pushed to make Richard stay late, prompting Julia to call her an unsympathetic boss and challenge her to "walk a mile in my shoes." Miraculously, Caroline finds herself experiencing life as Julia, while Julia takes on Caroline's identity, all narrated by Charlie in a style akin to Rod Serling. Caroline quickly realizes the perks of being the attractive Julia—customers at Remo's are oblivious to her bartending blunders, preoccupied with her looks. However, she becomes increasingly frustrated as she tries to leverage the "special thing" Richard hopes to share with Julia once they return home.
