S01E10 Nowhere to Run
Episode Overview
Title: Nowhere to Run Plot: Two sappers infiltrate Firebase Ladybird unnoticed, but Percell spots the third one and shoots him down. The remaining duo manages to detonate their explosives before they can be apprehended. The following day, Capt. Wallace directs Anderson and Goldman to gather the fallen soldiers' bodies, despite Anderson’s protests about his weary men. Wallace remains indifferent. Meanwhile, Percell grapples with grief over his friend's death and a heartbreaking "Dear John" letter. Goldman encounters an old acquaintance, Lt. Nikki Raines, and promises to see her later. Together with Anderson and their squad, they go on a mission to demolish a bridge, successfully blowing it up. In a tragic turn, while pursuing a fleeing VC, Percell accidentally kills a young boy, leaving him shattered by the outcome.
