Quincy, M.E. (1976)

Episode Overview

During a court session, Quincy faces off against his former professor, Dr. Herbert Stone, who is now an expert witness for the defense. Stone presents a radically different interpretation of the medical evidence, leaving Quincy feeling conflicted and uncertain about his own conclusions. As a result, the prosecution falters. Later, Quincy finds himself at odds with Stone once more in a new case. Stone challenges the evidence Quincy has gathered regarding the death of a wealthy businessman in a fire. Quincy feels disheartened when the Assistant DA remarks that his old mentor is merely peddling his expertise to the highest bidder.
