Ray Neilson, the publican of The Frog and Cheetah, has ventured into tourism with his 'Lord of the Ringz Tours' aimed at non-English speaking visitors. However, the situation takes a dark turn when his wife, Debbie, is found dead beneath a massive foam spider at a supposed Mirklewood filming location. The discovery becomes even more troubling when it's determined that she died from a bite of New Zealand's sole native venomous spider, the Katipo. But how could one spider deliver a dose ten times more lethal than normal?
