Episode Overview
Jimmy explores the stunning beauty of Kakadu, including the remarkable Yellow Waters. He meets young Bininj chef Ben Tyler, who operates Kakadu Kitchen, where Ben teaches him the traditional technique of cooking magpie goose over hot coals. In turn, Jimmy introduces Ben to his own take on the dish by preparing magpie goose dumplings. Later, Jimmy visits the popular Nightcliff Sunday market and connects with Samiah and her daughter Sitti, who guide him in crafting their unique Beef Rendang Roti Wrap. At Roast & Noodle 328, a beloved spot in the Mall’s Galleria food court, owner Danny Yeum reveals his method for making signature Roast Duck. Lastly, at Moorish Cafe, the first tapas restaurant in Darwin, Jimmy chats with owner Marc Wagnan about the rapid evolution of Darwin’s culinary landscape while tasting their beef brisket sourced from Eva Valley Meats.
