Episode Overview
How does one discover their humanity in a dark alley? How can a person reclaim their soul? In an abandoned church, Spawn grapples with haunting memories that slice through his fractured mind. Overwhelmed by his situation, he unleashes his fury before directing it toward the alley, seeking the wise old man Cogliostro, who holds the secrets he needs. Cogliostro, once a Hellspawn known as the Black Knight and Merlin, shares that Spawn can break his curse, but only if he embraces his true self and sheds the red cloak. Meanwhile, Jason Wynn is on his own mission, using the corrupt Chief Banks to investigate sightings of a cloaked figure in the alley. Wynn is determined to capture this man, setting his sights on the efforts of Sam and Twitch, who are tasked with locating him at any cost. However, they aren’t the only ones hunting for the Hellspawn; a tenacious reporter named Lisa Wu is also on the case.
