The Simpsons (1989)
S14E14 Mr. Spritz Goes to Washington
Episode Overview
The air traffic pattern shifts, causing planes to fly directly over the Simpsons' home, creating a cacophony that disrupts their daily lives. In their quest for relief, they reach out to their Congressman, but he unexpectedly passes away from a heart attack. In a bold move, they persuade Krusty the Clown to run for his seat, believing he can advocate for them. After winning the election, Krusty discovers that seasoned Congress members are ignoring his proposed air traffic bill. Disheartened by the political landscape, the Simpsons, with help from Walter Mondale, resort to blackmailing a rival and cleverly attach their bill to a more popular one, leading to its eventual approval and a change in flight paths.
