Episode Overview

While exploring “Carl’s Dad Caverns,” the family encounters trouble when Homer attempts to grab a piece of a stalactite, causing them to tumble through the cave floor. Homer ends up wedged in the ceiling of a lower chamber. As Marge, Bart, and Maggie head off to seek help, Lisa stays behind and entertains her dad with a tale. In her story, she escapes a pursuing bighorn sheep and finds refuge in Mr. Burns’ mansion. There, Mr. Burns narrates how he ended up working at Moe’s Tavern after losing a scavenger hunt to a wealthy Texan, revealing the legend of Moe’s treasure. The intertwining stories ultimately lead back to the treasure’s fate in the cave.
