Episode Overview

Principal Skinner informs the students that Mrs. Krabappel is out of town and, due to budget cuts, the two fourth-grade classes must combine until her return. Bart is hesitant to share a desk with Nikki but soon finds himself flirting with her. He confides in Grampa about his feelings, and following Grampa's advice, Bart gives Nikki a kiss. However, confused by her mixed signals, he vows to give up on girls entirely. Meanwhile, Lisa faces exclusion from her peers for being an overachiever, but she finds support when First Lady Michelle Obama, who identifies as a nerd, stands up for her.
