Skippy is surprised and thrilled to discover he's fallen for Mallory's new college friend, Amy Sussman, marking his first genuine romantic experience. As Steven wraps up an impromptu pep talk with the kids about his secret plan for Elyse's surprise birthday party, Amy comes by to pick up Mallory for a study session. Skippy swings by and is instantly captivated by Mallory’s sweet and bashful friend. So taken with her, he becomes tongue-tied, prompting Mallory to step in and set up their first date.
