Family Ties (1982)

Episode Overview

Elyse is thrilled when her sister Michele and her family come for their yearly visit, but the rest of the Keaton family is bracing themselves for a challenging week ahead. While Elyse eagerly anticipates the time with her sister, the others struggle to be polite. Steven finds himself constantly poked at by Michele's husband, Marv; Michele's daughter, Monica, brings a cloud of negativity; and her son, Marv Jr., starts borrowing Alex's clothes without asking. Marv, who can't sleep, adds to the chaos with his late-night bagpipe performances and collects phone calls for work on the family's line. It's only when he damages the Keatons' car that the usually patient Steven finally stands up for his family.
