After Mallory returns home from yet another terrible date, Alex steps in to console her and offer assistance. He decides to find her an ideal boyfriend using the computer the Keatons acquired for Jennifer's "educational" purposes. However, when Roger and Mallory don’t connect, Alex is determined to keep trying to match them up as the "perfect couple."
