In February 2017, a band of thieves pulled off one of Canada's largest fruit heists, making off with $100,000 worth of blueberries from a trucking yard in Hamilton. The owner of the yard faced a significant financial blow and the potential loss of his insurance, putting his entire business in jeopardy. Compounding the situation was the challenge of retrieving a perishable item that could vanish quickly from the market. In response, the police introduced a novel real-time approach to locate the culprits and recover the stolen goods.
