Episode Overview

Ernie finds himself in Australia’s red center during winter, where he encounters locals living near the famous Uluru. He connects with traditional owner Sammy and his partner Kathryn, gaining insight into Sammy’s deep appreciation for this sacred site. National Parks ranger Melinda and the local Annangu elders invite him to participate in a controlled burn, enriching his understanding of the land.
