Episode Overview

While cruising up the East Alligator River in Kakadu National Park, Ernie encounters crocodiles alongside Neville from Binning. To hone his photography skills, he receives guidance from Louise, a wildlife and landscape photographer from the UK. Together, they spend a day capturing the rich wildlife at Yellow Water Billabong, as Louise shares her enthusiasm for photography and her affection for Kakadu. Ernie also takes a helicopter ride with Steve, a former police officer from England turned pilot in the Northern Territory, to admire the stunning vistas. Later, he explores ancient rock art with Ranger Trevor, who reveals that many sites remain undiscovered, sharing his unique background of growing up with the Binning people after his Indonesian father stowed away in a plane to Australia.
