Episode Overview
At the Pit Stop in La Paz, Bolivia, tensions rise between two competing teams. The remaining teams receive a clue directing them to fly 6,900 miles to Auckland, New Zealand. Once there, they must navigate through the night to Gulf Harbor, where they encounter a Gordian knot challenge. Untangling the knots reveals a clue sending them to Mount Eden, the city’s highest point and a dormant volcano. Among the knots is a Fast Forward opportunity, which one team completes, easing their burden during the leg's tough tasks. Meanwhile, the other teams tackle a meticulous Roadblock before searching for Travelocity gnomes atop the City Life Hotel. After locating the gnomes, they drive to Kiwi 360°, where they face a physically demanding Detour. One racer sustains an injury but continues on. In the end, two teams compete fiercely on separate tasks late into the night, but one team fails to finish in time and is eliminated from the race.
