The Amazing Race (2001)

Episode Overview

In Almaty's Old Square, the four teams competing in the ninth leg receive a clue directing them to fly nearly 2,000 miles to Moscow, Russia. All teams board the same flight and head to a monastery, where they light a candle to unlock their next clue. However, one team encounters persistent taxi issues throughout the leg. Next, the teams arrive at the Kolosok Camp, a former military base, for the Detour. One team struggles significantly, switching tasks multiple times before finally completing one. Afterward, they proceed to the Zhukovsky bakery in Zhukovsky for a challenging Roadblock, where one member from each team must carry a heavy load. In the end, despite a series of errors, one team arrives last at the Pit Stop but is relieved to find out they are not eliminated.
