Episode Overview
The episode kicks off with Reichen and Chip announcing to the other teams that they are a couple who just celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary. Reichen shares that he left the Air Force to be with Chip. Meanwhile, Millie and Chuck reflect on their twelve-year relationship and their recent engagement before the race. The teams receive $120 for this leg of the race, which takes them over 5,000 miles from India to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. They scramble for the best flights, with Jon and Al, Millie and Chuck, and David and Jeff leading the way, despite a misstep from Reichen and Chip. David and Jeff, along with Kelly and Jon, are close behind. Upon arriving in Malaysia, the teams participate in a traditional blessing ceremony before facing a Detour: Net or Trap. In "Net," they must catch fifteen fish, while in "Trap," they need to lift a heavy lobster trap to find their next clue.
