Episode Overview
The teams depart from their Pit Stop at a hotel close to Lion Rock, receiving their next clue to travel 4,000 miles to Shanghai, China. Upon arrival, they head to Huangpu Tower, where they encounter a Roadblock. A Yield is also present, creating significant trouble for one of the teams. The Roadblock involves rappelling down a window and using a squeegee to uncover a hidden phrase. This leads them to a group of tai chi masters, where they must locate one of four clues. In the Detour, teams can choose between Bricks or Ice. The Bricks option requires transporting 300 clay bricks using a traditional tool and stacking them, while the Ice option involves carrying two 220-pound blocks of ice and chiseling them. All teams opt for the Bricks task, and ultimately, their success with taxis determines their final standings for this leg of the race.
