Episode Overview
A fresh batch of teams departs from Long Beach, California, embarking on two flights to Lima, Peru. Among the new competitors are the “Survivor couple” Rob and Amber, mother-son duo Susan and Patrick, and friends Ryan and Chuck, among others. Upon arriving in Peru, the teams follow clues that lead them to various locations, allowing them to explore the country's stunning landscapes. They tackle challenges like ziplining and navigating different local transport. Some teams fall behind after hastily locking in their task times without thorough searches. Many are eager to outsmart Rob and Amber. In a Detour choice between Rope a Llama or Rope a Basket, teams decide to either lead llamas into pens or carry heavy baskets for two-thirds of a mile. While some struggle with the llamas, others complete their tasks with ease. The race culminates in a nail-biting finish, resulting in one team being eliminated by mere seconds.
