Episode Overview

In a thrilling two-hour episode, the teams journey from the Pit Stop at The Martina polo club to Johannesburg, South Africa. Upon arrival, they face a Detour where they must choose between rappelling into an underground cavern to search for clues or gathering five specific items to deliver to different tribes. Next, a Roadblock challenges them to find five items at a market and bring them to a local orphanage. As they scramble to finish, one team gains an advantage with a Fast Forward, while another suffers a serious injury. The competition remains fierce, but all teams press on to the next leg, which takes them to a nature reserve where they catch one of two shuttles and feed lions. A spear-throwing challenge follows, and then they hop into Humvees to tackle a Detour involving either grinding corn or filling ostrich eggs with water. One team crashes, causing them to lag behind, yet the race to the Pit Stop continues.
