Episode Overview
After departing from their Pit Stop in New Orleans' French Quarter, the teams receive a clue that instructs them to fly over 2,000 miles to Panama City, Panama, where they'll search for the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute. Everyone is thrilled to finally be traveling outside the United States. Once the Institute opens, they venture across the water to locate a man named Ricardo Diaz. One team almost faces disaster when their boat rower attempts to pick up another passenger. Upon finding Diaz, they receive instructions for either a Fast Forward or a Detour. One team successfully completes the Fast Forward, while another gets burned and must return to tackle the Detour options: Rhythm or Coos. Eventually, the teams face a Roadblock, where one member must achieve a hit or home run against a top minor league pitcher, leading to a nail-biting finish.
