ThunderCats (1985)

Episode Overview

Mumm-Ra summons Amortus, a being he had exiled to the Land of No Return long ago, with the task of eliminating Lynx-O. Amortus causes Lynx-O's Thunderstrike to crash and then touches his face, casting a spell that makes Lynx-O feel like an outsider. Feeling isolated, he decides to join Amortus in the Land of No Return. Lion-O, Panthro, and Cheetara set out to find him. Once there, Amortus touches Lynx-O again, turning him to stone. The other TCats confront Amortus, but he touches them too, starting their transformation. Just as Lion-O is about to become completely stone, he calls upon the Sword, which breaks the spell and frees them, along with other warriors trapped by Amortus. Together, they defeat him, and Lynx-O is saved just before the stone becomes permanent, allowing everyone to return home.
