Episode Overview

Overton is taken by surprise when his Uncle Tibby pays him a visit. Tibby isn't fond of Synclaire, suspecting she's trying to manipulate Overton, and insists that he should break up with her right away. Hurt by overhearing the conversation, Synclaire feels upset. Overton reassures her that his uncle's views won't sway him and plans a special dinner to help Tibby warm up to her. However, Tibby keeps criticizing her, prompting Overton to kick him out. Tibby confesses he was thrown out by his wife for his harsh honesty about their children's choir. He apologizes to Synclaire, revealing that her resemblance to his wife might have influenced his behavior. Both Overton and Synclaire encourage him to reach out and reconcile with her. Meanwhile, Kyle begrudgingly gives Max the costly bracelet he bought before their breakup, which she then pawns to buy fake croc-skin boots, teasing him in the process.
