Episode Overview
Laverne is initially taken with Keith during their first encounter, but things quickly go south when Ms. Hunter discovers him and Regine enjoying a romantic moment on the rooftop a few days later. Max, who witnessed the whole incident from her apartment, makes sure to include it in the neighborhood newsletter. Unable to get through to her mother, Regine heads to her beloved bingo hall with Khadijah to confront Laverne. Laverne recalls how Regine’s carefree attitude reminds her of the time she was conceived in the bleachers at a Mets game. Regine insists she’s in control of her life and has nothing to worry about. When Laverne wins a bingo game, they celebrate with a shopping spree. Meanwhile, Overton plans to propose to Synclaire and finds the perfect ring, but he must haggle with the quirky old man who has it. Tag: Overton and Ray take a memorable "chopper" ride.
