Mr. D (2012)
S04E16 Oh, Solo Mio
Episode Overview
Kyle takes on the role of the church's new choir director and, swayed by Regine's insistence, grants her the solo for their 50th anniversary celebration. However, he soon realizes that Regine lacks any singing ability and opts to spare her from embarrassment by giving the solo to talented Latrice instead. Regine reacts with anger, causing disruptions during rehearsals, prompting Latrice to relinquish the solo. Overton and Synclaire encourage Regine to confront her reality, leading her to practice tirelessly all night. Unfortunately, she ends up with laryngitis, so Kyle and Latrice step in for her, ensuring the performance goes smoothly. Meanwhile, Khadijah feels uneasy about how her church community will react as she returns after two years away. Music: "There Is No Failure," performed by T.C. Carson and CeCe Winans with choir.
