Episode Overview
Ally realizes that to pull the firm out of its financial troubles, someone needs to be let go. She decides on Jenny, as she has the least experience and fewest clients among the lawyers. Glenn feels insulted by Jenny's termination and resigns in protest, taking his clients with him. Although Ally initially accepts his resignation, Victor persuades her to bring Glenn back, as the firm can't lose any clients. Meanwhile, Glenn and Jenny choose to leave Cage, Fish & McBeal to start their own firm. This forces the remaining lawyers to pick up the slack. To improve the firm’s morale, Ally asks Nelle to be more personable and perform at the bar, an intimidating challenge for her. Seeking support, Nelle turns to Ling, and they plan to have backup singers. However, their plan hits a snag when Nelle’s original singer loses her voice, leaving Elaine to enlist Claire Otoms as a last-minute substitute.
