Episode Overview

When a group of thugs begins to use intimidation and violence to extort money from young people in the area, Brownlow opts for a hands-off stance, stating he’d rather be on the golf course than intervene in what he sees as a 'dump' of an estate. Meanwhile, Carver is determined to make a difference by suggesting the reopening of a local youth club and investigating the source of the violence. At the same time, Cryer and Galloway look into a series of attempted kidnappings of young girls. Unbeknownst to them, their main suspect, Simon Doleman, had just spoken with Carver before going on a violent spree, even turning against his own mother.
