The Bill (1984)
S16E18 Meltdown: Part I
Episode Overview
While responding to an overdose incident on the Jasmine Allen Estate, Quinnan and Stamp come under attack. In an effort to rebuild trust within the community, Brownlow spearheads a local initiative. Determined to confront his past, Quinnan steps up to manage the youth club, but is soon plagued by memories of his own stabbing. Tensions escalate when a camera meant for the club goes missing, and Quinnan is enraged to encounter Mick Glover, who was released just a year after his son stabbed Quinnan. The situation worsens after the overdose victim dies, prompting Boulton to uncover that local dealers are distributing uncut heroin to schoolchildren. After Worrell, working with a women's drug group, finds another teen overdosing, Brownlow demands decisive action. Boulton's ill-fated raid on a key target leads to the decision to remove Quinnan and Worrell from their posts.
