Boulton looks into the shooting of a member from Quinnan's group, suspecting a connection to Donna Hunter's death. He investigates the victim's home, where Quinnan discovers that the girl had been involved in drug dealing, much to his dismay. Meanwhile, Robbie Hunter goes missing as he seeks revenge for his sister's murder, prompting Quinnan to launch his own inquiry. However, he is ambushed and finds a severely injured Robbie dying in a church crypt. Smith and Harker chase after Quinnan's car, which is being joyridden, but lose it due to a distraction from local troublemakers. Later, Stamp and McCann discover the vehicle set ablaze in a wasteland. Jenny worries her husband may have died, and while Brownlow tries to comfort her and his team, the uniformed officers believe he’s being unrealistic. The situation escalates when Boyden and Hagen uncover a charred body in a factory, leaving the team with a sense of dread.
