Episode Overview

Cryer, Smithy, and McCann respond to a road traffic accident, where they uncover a stash of cocaine and two guns hidden in the trunk of one of the vehicles. Smithy takes one of the victims to the hospital, only to find out that the man is part of the regiment he once served with. To gather more information discreetly, Smithy reaches out to his former army comrade, Tony Mitchell. However, when a CID mission goes awry, McCann informs Meadows of Smithy's plans. Faced with the realization that his old friend is deeply entangled in the situation, Smithy struggles between his loyalty to his friend and his commitment to the job.
