Episode Overview
Due to a staffing shortage in the Flying Squad, Stamp is temporarily assigned as a driver. He finds it challenging to win over the senior officer, DS Harrap, but DI Lomax continues to support him. However, Lomax's frustration grows when a discreet operation to catch bank robbers is compromised by a silent alarm, leading to the unexpected arrival of Klein and Hagen in the Area Car. Stamp’s reputation with Harrap takes a hit when he loses a car used to kidnap the bank manager's family. While Lomax collaborates with Monroe to negotiate with the robbers, he is arrested and refuses to disclose the family's whereabouts. Stamp seizes an opportunity for redemption when the family is located in a secluded country house, taking a significant risk to lure out the kidnappers.
