Boulton and Holmes find themselves in a tough spot when crucial witnesses in a robbery case back out from testifying. Holmes picks up on a shift in Boulton's demeanor, leading him to wonder if Boulton has met someone special. As rumors spread through the precinct, Stanton tries to intervene with Boulton, leaving him heartbroken. Meanwhile, Stanton grows more suspicious of Beech after learning about her connection to credit card thief Billy Bullock. Bullock offers Beech £1000 to dispose of a CCTV tape showing him stealing cards at a hotel conference. As Smithy and Hagen chase Bullock, Beech’s secret is almost revealed. Stanton decides to follow Bullock during the drop, hoping to catch Beech in the act.
