During a hospital interrogation, Proctor's actions nearly push the victim to the brink, resulting in chaos with the man's wife and his secret girlfriend. Teaming up with Page to go undercover, Proctor aims to nab the burglar, but a jealous Quinnan abandons the operation, leaving Proctor's career at Sun Hill in ruins. Meanwhile, Hagen's investigation into a crash involving an Area Car reveals that the vehicle being pursued was not the only one implicated, leading to tragic consequences when one officer dies.
