Ch. Supt. Brownlow and D.I. Galloway orchestrate a large-scale operation targeting a drug den in a local council estate, which quickly spirals into a riot. Despite the chaos, they manage to seize half a million pounds worth of crack cocaine. In the midst of the turmoil, P.C. Melvin loses a handcuffed suspect, who later arrives at the station requesting to have his cuffs removed, leading to his arrest by P.C. Hollis. D.C. Dashwood relies on his informant for intel about the primary drug dealer. However, during a meeting, he is shocked when P.C. Carver identifies the informant as Dougie Gardiner. When C.I.D. acts on Gardiner's tip, they find nothing but a student squat.
