Episode Overview
Sgt. Cryer announces the addition of two special constables to the team: Mary Kilnair and Brian Defoe. While on patrol with P.C. Edwards, Kilnair accidentally gets pricked by a needle from a drug user, raising serious concerns about potential infection. Meanwhile, a man shows up at the station to confess to the murder of his wife, which occurred thirty years ago. D.C. Carver and the newly appointed D.C. Tosh Lines take on the investigation. In another development, a lawyer meets with senior officers Brownlow, Conway, and Frazer to discuss her client’s complaints about being stopped and searched thirteen times in a fortnight. Lines recalls a similar pattern from his previous station, where multiple black men provided the same name and address during stops. Additionally, D.S. Roach asks Insp. Frazer out on a date, but Burnside learns about it and teases him.
