Episode Overview
A young woman named Tracey, who is D.I. Burnside's god-daughter, is admitted to the hospital in a coma following a drug overdose. Burnside calls in her boyfriend, nightclub manager Terry Palmer, for questioning. Although drugs are discovered in Palmer's apartment, he insists he didn't supply them to Tracey. D.S. Roach warns Burnside that his personal connection to the case may cloud his judgment. Tragically, Tracey passes away, and her death is ruled a suicide. Burnside charges Palmer with possession and intent to supply. Meanwhile, a wedding party arrives at the station after the bride physically confronts her bridesmaid for sleeping with her husband, leading to an assault charge and the discovery of stolen wedding gifts.
