P.C. Hollis officiates a five-a-side football game between two schools, organized by the Met. Among the players is Sgt. Cryer's son, Danny, who gets into trouble when he accuses a teammate of drug use in the locker room. This incident uncovers a significant drug issue at Danny's school, Medway Comprehensive. Investigating further, police discover that a local shopkeeper has a history of dealing. As the shop is monitored, two girls from Medway are spotted leaving, prompting D.I. Burnside to initiate a raid. The girls are arrested and searched, but they only bought cigarettes and are too young for a consented search. With no drugs found, the shop owner threatens legal action against Burnside.
