Episode Overview
W.P.C. Ackland and P.C. Smith visit a nearby gypsy camp after receiving complaints from the residents. A social worker has issued a Place Of Safety Order for a girl named Theresa Beecher, who has allegedly been abused by her parents. When Theresa and her parents barricade themselves inside their caravan, Smith suggests towing it to the station for safety. Meanwhile, a young man is caught with stolen credit cards, and the victim confirms he was assaulted and robbed the previous night. As he prepares for an identity parade, his wife reveals she was the one who attacked him. The gypsies attempt to escape, but when Theresa is placed into care, it’s discovered that the Beechers have switched her with another girl.
