Episode Overview
Brooke makes the bold choice to run for student council president, opting out of the Homecoming Queen contest. She enlists Harrison as her campaign manager, but they clash over the issue of mandatory drug testing for students, leading him to quit and challenge her instead. Meanwhile, Sam, Carmen, Nic, and Mary Cherry are nominated for Homecoming Queen. Encouraged by George, Sam throws herself into the competition. Carmen, who is currently homeless, is invited by Bobbi Glass to stay at her home. Ms. Glass sees her own younger self in Carmen and offers support, even threatening to fail anyone who doesn't vote for her. Nic and Mary Cherry seek advice from the legendary Hellacious Arke, a former three-time Homecoming Queen and Ms. Glass's high school alter ego. As Brooke spies on Josh and Lily experimenting with cough syrup, she becomes inspired by the tragic death of a student due to an overdose and decides to focus her campaign on an anti-drug message.
