Ash visits Seafoam Island to assist Professor Oak in uncovering the mystery behind Slowpoke's evolution into Slowbro. Meanwhile, Professor Westwood V is also on the case. In her quest, Jessie manages to capture a Shellder and hastily attempts to trigger a Slowpoke's evolution, but Psyduck intervenes to delay the process.
