Episode Overview
As the group travels toward Rustboro City, May spots a Wurmple she’s eager to catch, but she’s not alone in her pursuit; Jessie has her sights set on it too. Determined, May sets off by herself, only to be pursued by Team Rocket, who cause her some trouble. Fortunately, a trainer named Franklin comes to her aid. Meanwhile, Ash and Pikachu are honing Pikachu's Iron Tail attack when Franklin challenges them to a battle, introducing Ash to the concept of double battles, popular in the Hoenn region. With Franklin's assistance, May successfully captures her Wurmple. When they reunite with the others, the gang is shocked to discover Franklin is actually a pair of identical twins—Forrest and Forrester! Despite the chaos, Team Rocket manages to snag a Wurmple of their own before blasting off at the episode's conclusion.
