Eager to reach the Battle Pyramid, Ash accidentally tumbles into an ancient ruin. Team Rocket, curious about the commotion, also falls in. As Ash and his friends delve deeper, they trigger a dangerous trap! Fortunately, they are rescued by a man named Brandon and his Regirock, who chastises Ash for disturbing the site. Brandon reveals that these ruins were where the King of Pokelantis imprisoned a Ho-Oh. Ignoring the warning, Ash excitedly rushes off to find Ho-Oh, only to awaken the King’s malevolent spirit, which seizes control of him and demands all their Pokémon to fulfill his plan for global domination!
